Pulsars: Stellar Winds, Pulsars: Plasma Waves
Scientific paper
Considers that the acceleration of plasma is driven by turbulent wave
pressure generated by the magnetic dipole radiation of the pulsar. The
plasma particles diffuse along magnetic lines of force and form pulsar
winds. The calculation shows that electrons are accelerated to a high
energy of Lorenz factor γ ≥ 12 and form relativistic winds.
