The Ag sheathed tapes with nominals Bi1.8Pb0.4Sr2Ca2.2Cu3.2O10+y and Bi1.6Pb0.3Te0.1Sr2Ca3Cu4O10+y obtained by OPIT method were examined. Temperature dependence of AC magnetic susceptibility (χ' and χ'') in magnetic fields aligned perpendicular to the tape surface was measured. Deterioration of superconducting properties of tapes with Te addition was explained by increased diffusion of the elements Sr, Ca and Bi from superconducting core to Ag sheath.
