Analyzer-based imaging (ABI) is a phase-contrast imaging technique. Several mathematical algorithms have been so far proposed to separate absorption, refraction and USAXS, in order to accurately quantify them and to ultimately facilitate the image interpretation. A comprehensive quantitative comparison of five extraction algorithms, based on the geometrical optics approximation, is presented.
