A strong feature near 995 A in the Lyman gamma wing of hot white dwarfs
have been demonstrated to be due to quasi-molecular absorption of H2
molecule. We present new theoretical calculations of the line profile of
Lyman gamma that include the variation of the radiative dipole moment
during the collision.
