GHRS spectra of two Seyfert galaxies, NGC 3783 and NGC 3516, will be obtained of the C IV region with the G160M grating. The purpose of the observations is to investigate intrinsic absorption lines, which provide information on the covering factor and motions of the clouds along the line-of-sight. Previous GHRS spectra of NGC 3738 were obtained in February, 1993 and January, 1994. In the later observation, two strong non-Galactic absorption features appeared. The positions of the features match those expected for the C IV doublet at a radial velocity of -450 km/sec relative to the emission-line peak. An additional observation of NGC 3783, obtained in early 1995, will be used to determine if the intrinsic C IV absorption is still present, and if so, determine if it has changed in equivalent width or velocity. The second GHRS spectrum of NGC 3516 in the C IV region will also be obtained, and should follow the first spectrum obtained in proposal 5728 by 9 +/- 3 months.
