Transition probabilities of 47 lines of Cu II have been determined experimentally in the spectral region 2000-3000 A by performing emission measurements using a special high frequency hollow electrode discharge. The branching ratios found for the levels 4p and 5s are converted to absolute transition probabilities using lifetime data found in the literature. Comparison of the results with available values of other authors has been made. The deviation between our values and those compared is less than 10% for most of the lines.
