The fast, FeII-class Nova Ophiuchi 2010 N.2 reached maximum brightness on Feb 21.2, 2010 at V=9.26, B-V=+1.07, V-R_c=+0.58, and V-I_c=+1.12. The smooth decline was characterized by t_2^V=18 and t_3^V=31 days. The reddening affecting the nova is E_B-V=0.7 and its distance d=9 kpc, for an height above the galactic plane of z=0.55 kpc. Spectra obtained at day +53.9, 4.1 mag down from maximum were still characterized by optically thick condition, with FWHM of 1600 km/s for Balmer emission lines and 1950 km/s for [NII].
