The 12C(dvec,α)10B*(2+) reaction at 0° is proposed as a new standard for the deuteron beam polarization at an intermediate energy region. The absolute value of the polarization is measured using this reaction at 270 and 140 MeV deuteron energies for the first time. The obtained beam polarization is used for the calibration of the analyzing powers for the dvec-p elastic scattering which we use as a polarimetry. The result is almost consistent with the data of the previous calibrations. .
