Jupiter Atmosphere: Impact Phenomena, Comets: Collisions

Between 16 and 22 July 1994, over 20 fragments of Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9
collided with Jupiter. Till now many of the details concerning the
impact processes are far from being resolved. However, a consensus on a
working model of the impact events has been reached and is described.
