The lateral antisolar detector of the Signe II MP 6 experiment observed the 1977 December flare-up of the transient source A0535 +26. The time history of the source in the 28-40 keV energy range is presented, as well as the spectral evolution in the range 28-146 keV, for the period 1977 December 20-1978 January 2. A 4 day delay between the optical and X-ray emission is discussed.
