We found evidence for correlations between the radio jet power and the X-ray disk aperiodic variability features in X-ray binary systems: the frequency and amplitude of quasi-periodic oscillations in the X-ray power density spectra are non-linear tracers of the radio power. In particular, the relation between the radio luminosity and the so-called break frequency, already observed also in AGN, opens the possibility of the existence of a `variability plane of black holes'. Taking into account the mass scaling, we can directly compare stellar-mass and supermassive black holes in a three-dimentional space where the variables are the mass of the black hole, the radio luminosity and the frequency of the break component (which is independent from the distance to the source). The existence of this `variability plane' further supports the idea of a unified description of the coupling between disk and jet in black holes.
