We propose a novel topological order parameter, the anyonic topological entropy. Unlike existing quantities, which consider the state of the underlying physical medium, the anyonic topological entropy is defined using states of anyonic occupations. This makes it especially well-suited to studies of mixed states and incoherent errors, and allows it to be applied to one-dimensional topological models. Calculations are made for the thermal states of the planar code and the Majorana chain as examples of how the quantity may be used.
