We present the results of J, H & K' imaging of 45 luminous Young Stellar Objects (YSOs) in the list by Campbell, Persson, & Matthews (1989, AJ, 98, 643). These objects have been classified into four groups according to two dust features in the 3 μm band --- the H2O ice absorption and the unidentified infrared (UIR) emission (Ishii et al.1998, AJ, 116, 868). In our near-infrared images, nebulosities around these YSOs are examined. We find: 1) the nebulae around the objects with the ice absorption can be explained by the scattered light of the central stars; 2) the nebulae around the objects with the UIR emission can not be explained by the scattered light alone -- emission, most likely from very small grains, is needed to explain the nebular color and intensity profile; 3) the objects with neither the ice absorption nor the UIR emission tend to have no/weak nebulosity. We interpret these variations as evolutionary phases of circumstellar matter around intermediate to high mass YSOs.
