A global electrodynamic model of the Magnetosphere-Ionosphere system in nonorthogonal dipole coordinates has been developed and modified to include a fully three-dimensional F-layer profile derived from the MSIS90 and IRI95 ionospheric models. The model is applied to the study of ULF wave development and propagation in the coupled M-I system and its results compare the results to those of a similar model with a simpler ionospheric profile as well as to ground magnetometer and F-region radar observations.
