For precise telescope tracking, it is inevitable to control the telescope drive using an auto-guider. It is discussed how to improve the limiting magnitude keeping the accuracy of the position of the stellar image with the star-sensor using a two-dimensional detector as a CCD. Discussion extends to the case of Shack-Hartmann analyzer used for measuring the shape of mirror surface.
