Interstellar dust clouds of various density have been selected in the direction of the Rosette nebula using a catalog of B, V magnitudes and spectral types of O, B, A stars. The parameters of the clouds (absorption, sizes, masses, spatial densities) show that they are the known types of diffuse and dark clouds. The absorption in dark clouds situated within the supernovae remnants exceeds significantly the absorption in the rest of clouds. That may be the result of cloud compression by a shock wave from a supernova explosion.
