Oscillations in geomagnetic field with periods between 40 sec and 150 sec have been studied at Istanbul for the years from 1953 to 1969. Daily, monthly, yearly variations of the occurrence frequencies have been obtained for Pi2, bp and b, and it is seen that maxima occur at nearly midnight. But, the local time of the maximum occurrence frequencies of Pi2 and bp changes from month to month, and year to year between 2100 hr and 0200 hr LT. Linear relationships have been found with the geomagnetic K index for the above phenomena, and in addition, solar cycle effect on these pulsations (and b) are discussed in this paper.
