The surface of section method is used to study the nonperiodic orbits of a lunar satellite. The plane circular restricted three-body problem, where q1 and q2 are the Cartesian coordinates of a particle with infinitesimal mass, is used as an example. It is concluded that the present surface of section method can be used to study orbits which collide with the moon's surface following a large number of revolutions.
