The FAST spacecraft has been gathering data for over 10 years in a highly elliptical 350 by 4175 km polar orbit. This mission has revealed much about the coupling between the magnetosphere and ionosphere. The high quality FAST dataset is used here to undertake a statistical survey of this coupling in the cusp and associated dayside regions. The occurrence frequency of various plasma characteristics are binned as a function Altitude Adjusted Corrected Geomagnetic (AACGM) latitude and magnetic local time (MLT). This data is then sorted by conditions in the solar wind, such as the orientation of the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF), using data from the Wind and ACE spacecraft. This permits us to determine the morphology, formation and electrodynamics of the dayside regions, and how they are affected by coupling between the magnetosphere and solar wind. The results are compared with previous surveys of dayside plasma characteristics using DMSP and Polar data at low- and mid-altitudes respectively. The great benefit of using FAST is the availability of over a decades worth of full particle distributions at high time resolution throughout the region where the magnetosphere and ionosphere couple.
