A statistical study of Pc5 pulsations using magnetic field data from the CRRES satellite for the period July 1990 - September 1991was carried out. Two hour panels of dynamic spectra were examined to determine the occurrence rates of toroidal and compressional mode oscillations over all local times from L=5 to L=11. This data was compared with the fundamental field line resonance (FLR) frequency calculated using measurement of the upper hybrid resonance to determine plasma density. On the basis of the occurrence distribution, the toroidal pulsations can be associated with Kelvin-Helmholz instability on the dawn-side of the magnetosphere.
