The dynamics of a self-gravitating spinor field in a curved nonmetric
space is considered. It is shown that the nonmetricity of the space-time
can give rise to a vector nonlinearity of cubic type in the spinor field
equation. This nonlinearity can also be compensated by the nonmetricity
of the space-time.
