Results of spectral observations in 1984 of the new AM Her-type binary E2003+225 are presented. Changes of equivalent widths of various lines during the orbital period are different. The radial velocity curves obtained from the line peaks are distorted by matter-escaping from the system. The radial velocity curves obtained from the lines bases are shifted with respect to the peak curves obtained from peaks by 0.1P. It is shown that the mass ratio of the components is very small in the E2003+225 system. The matter ejected from the system absorbs the X-ray emission of the main component, thus leading to a low X-ray luminosity and an extremely soft X-ray spectrum.
