A system of mechanical resonators with dissipative coupling is shown to
display a phase effect sometimes observed in mid-latitude
micropulsations: the resonators with shorter natural periods tend to
lead in phase relative to those with longer periods, especially where
they are almost in resonance with damped eigenmodes of the whole system.
