A simple magnetic field model of the earth's magnetosphere with a
plasmoid in the near tail is developed. It is derived from a standard
model through an adequate change of the coefficients. The model uses
experimental Delta B contours and is divergence-free. The plasmoid is a
negative-Delta B island surrounded by closed field lines.
