Despite a number of decades of ongoing research, we understand only the very most basic properties of the molecular cloud population in the metal-poor and relatively un-evolved Magellanic System. We propose here the most sensitive broadband analysis of the chemical properties of molecular component in the Small Magellanic Cloud, which will provide the most robust means to probe chemical and environmental variations throughout the Magellanic System. Our study will reveal the temperatures and pressures of the molecular population, which is completely absent in the present literature. In addition, we will have a means to compare and explore scenarios that may cause differences between the chemical properties of the Magellanic population and some of the more well-studied Galactic molecular clouds.
