Low frequency solar wind fluctuations are commonly studied in the framework of magnetohydrodynamic turbulence. The statistical properties of field fluctuations have been shown to be scale-dependent, indicating intermittency of the turbulent cascade. Several models have been used to model the experimental probability distribution functions of the measured fluctuations. In particular, the Castaing model provided accurate description of intermittency, also suggesting the multifractal nature of the cascade. A self-consistent, parameter-free version of Castaing model, based on conditional analysis, is proposed here, confirming the validity of the multifractal scenario for the description of solar wind turbulent cascade.
