Among the numerous chemical species found in the ISM, there are a few examples of pairs of molecules formed by the substitution of an H atom by a CN radical. Since formaldehyde H2CO is a fairly abundant and ubiquitous molecule, a search for the CN-substituted HCOCN toward the molecular sources SgrB2(OH) and Orion-IRc2 was conducted. No convincing evidence for this new interstellar species is found down to an abundance of 5 x 10 to the -11th and 7 x 10 to the -11th in these two sources, respectively.
