Since June 1989 most of the research has been devoted to early Universe cosmology. The four focal points have been: Galaxy and large scale structure formation with cosmic strings. Quantum field theoretical effects near cosmic strings and their observational signatures. Dynamics of inflationary Universe models. Quantum particle production and formation of topological defects during phase transitions.
