A generalization of the Laplace transform and z-transform final value theorems for the non-periodic continuous-time functions and discrete-time sequences is considered in detail. This completes the previous treatment of this topic in [1], and the physical discussion is also better developed. Determination of the time averages of continuous functions, or sequences, which we obtain using the generalized final-value theorems, is important for various problems in physics and engineering.
