Broad absorption line features in the radio-loud quasar TEX 1726+344 were serendipitously discovered to develop in a time interval of 12 years. Parameters derived from these absorption lines using a photonionization model suggest that a tidally disrupted star by the central black hole might be responsible for these newly formed broad absorption lines. We plan to monitor this object to study its absorption line variability. In addition to being one of the very few radio-loud broad absorption line quasars, this object is the first to show a transition from narrow absorption line quasar to a broad absorption line quasar. This quasar will serve as a link in between radio-loud and radio-quiet quasars. Studying absorption line variability in this object will bring better insight in understanding the outflow in AGN and may eventually lead to breakthroughs in understanding the origin of the radio loudness and the radio-loud/radio- quiet dichotomy.
