A relatively simple model is used to investigate the behavior of a diamagnetic clump oscillating along the magnetic force lines in a trap with magnetic mirrors. The periodic displacement of the reflection points caused by oscillations of the clump synchronizes the motion of the particles constituting the clump, which assures the stability of the latter. During oscillations of the clump between the reflection points, periodic compression and stretching of the clump with a period several times greater than the bounce period are observed. A counterphase change in particle dispersion over coordinates and velocities is also disclosed.
