An analytical expression for the equivalent thermal conductivity of bodies of various structures is established. The solution of the converse problem—to determine the structure of a body from its equivalent thermal conductivity—is considered. Considerations concerning the possible structure of the Moon's surface layer are put forward, based on an analysis of radio-astronomical data of the parameter γ=(λρc)-1/2 and some additional assumptions.
