Spectrographs: Optical Design
Scientific paper
The considerations leading to the proposed design for the Columbus Telescope Optical Spectrograph are presented. The design provides high throughput and flexible slit length while covering the resolution range of 1000 to 70,000. Provision is made for the simultaneous use of multiple camera/detector combinations to cover the entire wavelength range.
