To understand the formation process of outer lobe of Double Layered Ejecta (DLE), the volume of the outer lobe was measured. In addition, a series of laboratory experiments was conducted to estimate the volume displaced from the surface of the particle layer by a vortex ring. The vortex ring formed behind the ejecta curtain has been suggested to be responsible for the formation process of DLE. Through the scaling using
