In the past decade, percolation analysis has developed into a powerful and sensitive tool for describing the topology of mass and galaxy distributions. The analysis can distinguish between isolated (clumpy) and connected (filamentary) distributions of galaxies. In this paper, we present a percolation analysis of the Las Campanas Redshift Survey. This work has implications for the local isotropy of the universe and the evolution of large-scale structure.
