A numerical simulation of a stellar jet with a supersonic variation in
the magnitude of the outflow velocity is presented. The structure,
evolution, and the observational properties of this model are studied. A
qualitative comparison is made both with previous analytic predictions
and with observations of Herbig-Haro jets.
