A simple approach is briefly discussed to obtain the angular distribution of secondary cosmic-ray particles as a function of atmospheric depth. The method, based in the Gross transform of the omnidirectional flux measured by a single G.-M counter, reproduces some of the general characteristics of the zenith angle dependence observed by cosmic ray telescopes.
