A possible influence of comets on the growth of heavy elements abundance suggested several years ago by Tinsely and Cameron is shortly discussed. It is shown that this effect will be significant only if the formation of comets produces about 1028kg cometary material per one solar mass which is equivalent to about 1014 cometary nuclei of average size per one solar mass.
