Interstellar Matter: Masers, Interstellar Matter: Methanol

The features of interstellar class II methanol source regions are grasped. A new pumping mechanism is proposed. It can explain the formation of a series of J0→J-1E methanol masers and the increase of the maser intensity with J, while 21→30A+ methanol masers are regarded as the driving coherent microwave field.
