The angular distribution of nitrogen and oxygen nuclei with energies of 5-20 MeV/nucleon is investigated; the two distributions have a similar form, characteristic for particles trapped by the geomagnetic field. This finding suggests that, at the minimum of the 21st solar cycle, nitrogen particles in cosmic rays with energies of 5-20 MeV/nucleon mainly consisted of singly charged ions.
