The video-polarimeter, a new instrument, produces, at the focus of a telescope, filtered images of planetary surfaces with the different Stokes components of the light which is polarized. The instrument disclosed grain size variations over large areas in the regolithic layer covering the surface of the moon. It localizes the areas of transparency for the upper atmosphere of Jupiter. It produces images of the clouds and veils in Mars' atmosphere with discrimination between crystals and dust. Examples of observations are presented.
