The center-to-limb variation of the root-mean-square granular contrast at 5520 A is deduced from a set of high-spatial-resolution filtergrams obtained with the Sacramento Peak Observatory Vacuum Tower Telescope. The rms contrast is observed to decrease monotonically between mu = 1.0 and 0.6, and then increase slightly at mu = 0.4, where mu is the cosine of the heliocentric angle. This result is compared with the results of Edmonds (1962) and with the results of Pravdjuk et al. (1974).
