The data of the Pioneer 11 meteoroid experiment taken between 3 and 5 AU are tested against a new meteoroid model. The data are interesting for they show no gap in the impact rate during temporary sunward motion of the spacecraft after Jupiter fly-by, when the measurement conditions did not favour particles on near-circular, near-ecliptic orbits populated densely in the inner zodiacal cloud. A hypothesis of presence of dust particles on highly eccentric or highly inclined orbits was originally proposed to explain the data, however, no dynamical proof was given that such a population might exist. The new meteoroid model constraints dynamically the orbital distributions of dust particles in the region of encounters with Jupiter, including - for the first time - the particles ejected from the Solar system by Jupiter. It is found that the data cannot be explained by the model consistently. The measurements could be due to a population that has not interacted with Jupiter - a transient phenomenon or fresh material from the long-period comets.
