Cosmology: Gravitation Theory
Scientific paper
The ether is conceived as constituted of materialized electric flux lines with random directions. The spectrum of this stochastic process is proportional to ω3 and this is the cause of special relativity. A sketch of a unified field theory including gravity is presented in which rotation is relative as translation. The new proposed gravitational theory is equal to Einstein's up to and including the second order terms which are the smallest ones detectable at present. Differences arise starting from the third order terms and, in particular, no black holes are foreseen. Spatial fluctuations in the density of the materialized flux lines of the order of one part in a million produce gravitational fields ten times those brought about by an average galaxy. The rotational stability of galaxies is therefore explained without the need of nonbaryonic mass. The absence of nonbaryonic dark matter leads to an agreement of the ages of the universe derived from expansion and stellar evolution.
