Two models for galactic halos are analyzed which involve strongly interacting dark matter. The models are constrained by big-bang cosmology, galactic astrophysics and by recent searches for fluxes of dark-matter particles. The candidate particles have masses in the TeV range and cross sections ~10-26 cm2 with ordinary matter.
