A Nasmyth-mounted combined imaging system and low-resolution spectrograph recently constructed for the 2.3-m alt-az telescope operated by the Mount Stromlo and Siding Spring Observatories is described. The instrument is in modular form, has a telecentric section for uniform interference filter field response, a collimated beam section, and a camera operated at f/3.6. The camera scale is 24.8 arcsec/mm and accepts without vignetting the total 6.6 arcmin field of the telescope. The system optics have been optimized for achromaticity over the wavelength range 3000-11,000 A.
