A formula for a relative shift in an image spectrum due to motion of a gravitational lens in a curved space-time is given. The formula generalizes results obtained earlier by several authors in the flat case. It is shown that in the Friedmann universe the background curvature enhances the effect considered. This enhancement depends not only on the redshifts of the source and lens but also on the matter distribution along the line of sight. For discrete sources such as galaxies and quasars the enhancement is small but for the microwave radiation it may reach ≡102 that must be taken into account in future observations.
