A morphological model of solar granulation is presented in this paper as a two-dimensional generalization of a model established by White and Cha (1973) to describe oscillation of the photosphere. It is constructed from a convective hypothesis of the 'Benard cell' type, but by adjustment of parameters, it can eventually represent turbulent granulation. Comparison between theoretical and experimental results is satisfactory for the limiting cases of the model which assume that granules are dissimilar or arranged irregularly. Measurements of new statistical parameter, giving information on the resemblance between granules and the goodness of their distribution in space, are needed to obtain the uniqueness of the interpretation of the granulation power spectrum.
