Using simplified formulae for the energy production and opacity a solar model is considered which consists of a convective envelope, a middle, chemically homogeneous radiative zone and a neutrally stable against convection, inhomogeneous core. Between the latter two zones, there is a jump-like change in density and composition. In comparison with the standard solar model, this model has a considerably lesser mass concentration to the centre and a smaller rate of neutrino production.
