Cosmic Rays: Energy Spectra
Scientific paper
The authors have collected published experimental measurements of the Galactic cosmic ray spectra of the primary elements, H, He, C, O, Ne, Mg, Si and Fe in the energy range from 45 MeV/nucleon to 1 TeV/nucleon in the years 1963 - 1987. They have fit these data with a solution to the spherically symmetric diffusion equation using boundary spectra which are a solution of the cosmic ray propagation equation in the leaky-box model. In the present work, they show how the energy spectra of these elements at 1 AU are represented by this model.
